Muppu or Muppu guru is a higher order Tamil siddha medicine. \"muppuMuppu is considered as panacea Siddha medicine system that can heal all disorders. Muppu one of the most sought goals for any Siddha follower or Siddha practitioner or an alchemist for their professional and spiritual quest. <\/span><\/p>\n

Muppu is called as elixir of life (<\/span>\u0b95\u0bb1\u0bcd\u0baa \u0bae\u0bb0\u0bc1\u0ba8\u0bcd\u0ba4\u0bc1 <\/span>karppa marunthu), because it has the capacity to extend one\u2019s life.<\/span> Muppu is <\/span>chiefly mentioned for its twofold activity, one is transmutation of base metals to gold and rejuvenation of human system. Muppu mainly used by Yogis or Siddhas for rejuvenation in order to attain enlightenment and immortality. It is also called as Indian version of <\/span>\u201cthe philosopher\u2019s stone\u201d<\/span><\/i>, because it is believed to have the capability of turning base metals such as mercury, copper into gold or silver. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Muppu is used in solidifying mercury and to prepare <\/span>\u201crasamani\u201d<\/span><\/i> that is nothing but mercury in solidified form. Rasamani is used in treating diseases under the mani, manthira Oushadam concepts.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

What is called Guru marunthu?<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

Muppu is also called as Guru marunthu<\/span> \u0b95\u0bc1\u0bb0\u0bc1 \u0bae\u0bb0\u0bc1\u0ba8\u0bcd\u0ba4\u0bc1<\/span> universal salt, since with small addition of Muppu to any medicine will enhance the medicines potency to many folds. So, without knowing or understanding the proper preparation method of Muppu one cannot be a successful Siddhar or Siddha practitioner in treating killer or chronic diseases.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Also Muppu chunnam is a highly commended medicine in Siddha classics, which is used in kayakalpam treatment and for chronic degenerative diseases like cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, AIDS, and other immune related diseases. <\/span><\/p>\n

Siddhar Nandeesar in his medical work has indicated the importance of Guru marunthu as follows,<\/span><\/p>\n

Muppu around the world.<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

Muppu is called by different names around the world. The elixir of life, also known as elixir of immortality or sometimes as “the vaccine for death” and sometimes equated with the philosopher’s stone, is a mythical potion that, when drunk from a certain cup at a certain time, supposedly grants the drinker eternal life or eternal youth.<\/span><\/p>\n

In ancient China, various emperors sought the fabled elixir with varying results. Some died from ingesting a lethal dosage of mercury in the supposed “Elixir of Life” conjured by alchemists.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Europe Paracelsus formulated spagyric which is made of salt Sulphur and mercury which is similar to Muppu. Some in Europe sought philosophers stone can confer longevity which can be equated to Muppu.<\/span><\/p>\n

In South India, Siddhars called it as Muppu which can bestow eternal youth for their spiritual quest.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Siddhar Thiruvalluvar, Suryanandar when malasalam is distilled in vaalai and mixed with veeram , Muppu is obtained.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, from this one can understand that different Siddhar school of thoughts has different methods to prepare Muppu for different purposes. <\/span><\/p>\n

Owing to its importance in medical and miracle quest, Muppu is hidden from common man. <\/span><\/p>\n
