Macrocosm and Microcosm theory.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Nature is man and man is nature and therefore man and nature are essentially one. All men are the universal man and individual man is a part of the universal man and has his own individual nature which is a part of the universal nature.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Man is said to be the microcosm and the world the macrocosm. Because what exists in the world exists in the man. In other words there is nothing in the macrocosm of nature that is not contained in man. So man must be looked upon as an integral part of universal nature and not as anything separate or different from the latter.<\/p>\n<p>Further, the forces in the microcosm or man are identical with the forces in the macrocosm or world. Or to put it more plainly, the natural forces acting in and through the various organs of the human body are intimately related to the similar or corresponding forces acting in and through the organisms of the world. Modern scientific discovery says that universe was formed due to a big bang which took place billions of billions years ago which otherwise known as \u201cThe Big Bang\u201d Theory which was proposed by Georges Lema\u00eetre in 1927. According to siddha science, siddhars have elaborated the birth of universe in the same way as \u201cBig Bang\u201d theory and has made approximate mappings with the help of \u201cPanchaBootham\u201d (i.e. air, water, soil, ether and fire) to support their vision.\u00a0 Science of Siddha\u2019s state that these five elements of Nature were the fundamentals of all the corporeal things in the world .It also States that there exists a close relationship between the external world and the internal system of human. Any disproportion in the above mentioned elements upsets human system and leads to diseases and illness, hence balancing the five elements eliminates diseases. For a healthy person the ratio of vatham pitham kapham should be of 1:102:1\/4. Due to many reasons, disturbances to the these ratios will cause diseases.<\/p>\n<p>The causes of diseases and cure for them involves lot of factors from pancheekarana theory to detoriaration of udal thathukal. In Tamil it is called Gunapadam. The siddha physician is not complete without learning the Gunapadam. This subject deals with how siddha medicines to be prepared and what are the principles to be followed and purification methods of raw drugs etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">According to siddha pharmacology, the medicines works on the principle of pancheekarana or five element theory.
